The start of fall

I always say that whatever season is approaching is my favorite, but I genuinely think it is fall. I love everything about this season. The cooling weather, the smell of burning woodsmoke or burning brush, the crackle of leaves underfoot. I love cozy sweaters and jackets. I love to crochet and make fall decorations from fallen pinecones and buckeyes. I love to go to apple orchards and pick more apples than I know what to do with.

I love fall foods. I am definitely a pumpkin spice girl, but anything with cinnamon is my favorite. Halloween is my favorite Holiday, but Thanksgiving (American) is lovely too. I love the years when we are able to do big family get-togethers, and the quite ones when it is just my little family of procreation. I love all of the anticipation, the baking, the gift giving and the decorations that leads up to the holiday season that heralds the start of winter. This is simply my time of year.

I plan to explore all of this in my fall blog. So if you are looking for ways to make this season one of happiness and fun, stick with me here. Lets see what sort of magic we can stir up!

Red leaves and little yellow flowers cling to a branch and shine in the sun.
